How do I know which IP is attacking my server?

From your command line, use the following command to determine what IP's are connected to your server, and you can also see how many connections each IP have been made made.

netstat -anp |grep 'tcp\|udp' | awk '{print $5}' | cut -d: -f1 | sort | uniq -c | sort -n
